Breezy Hill Farm is a family-owned and operated Missouri Century Farm located 50 miles east of Kansas City, MO, specializing in the supply of superior quality grass-finished beef within a 100-miles radius of our farm.
Our family has farmed the land since 1865, and we have been raising completely grass-finished beef since 1995.
We provide freezer beef only. All our meat is dry-aged, and we use Kansas City Beef Comapny, for processing. It is available in wholes, halves, and split halves. Our animals live only on grass and hay, eliminating the harmful effects of hormones, pesticides, antibiotics, herbicides, and wormers used in commercial-grade beef.
A closed herd policy has driven our sustainable farming practices since 1995. Our genetic base is limousine/red devon, and we do not increase our sales with sale barn animals. So, you will probably have to wait for the next harvest if we are out of beef.
Our cattle are never fed any grains. The herd is closed. That means we do not have to vaccinate, since disease is eliminated. We use no antibiotics and no hormones.
Everything we do at Breezy Hill Farm is directed toward sustainability. Our definition of sustainability is provided by Dr. John Ikerd in his recent book, Small Farms are Real Farms, where he defines agricultural sustainability as "ecologically sound, economically viable, and socially responsible".
If you are looking for quality beef, you can send us your request for a whole, half, or split half based on your family size and budget. We also occasionally offer ground beef from animals that exceed the 30-month USDA rule. Ground beef must be picked up at the farm. We deliver freezer beef within a 100-mile radius.
